The method in, utilize P-V curves and V-Q curves or voltage instability detection. Dierent methods have been developed in the literature to detect voltage instability with a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) based on DFIG.
Identiying suitable locations to install DFIG with various loading models, viewed rom the voltage stability perspective is another key contribution o the present work. The present paper steps in this direction, which validate real-time voltage stability index SQLVIDI or DFIG based wind integrated grid.
As the new renewable integrated grids are the uture, it is important to study their impact on voltage stability.
Various grid impact studies having a high penetration o wind energy being integrated into the gridsĢ 2 Author Name:Paper Title show that the security and unctioning o both the wind arms and power grid are aected by the voltage stability issues. Wind energy has а more important role to play in the area o renewable energy and has reportedly shared a total o 539 GW o power to global energy needs in India with 34GW (by March 2018) is standing in the ourth position in the world, in the arena o harvesting wind power. In the case o standalone systems, this is not a pressing issue but or the renewable sources to be integrated into the grid such uncertainty must be taken care o to ensure the stability o the system. Such stochastic behavior o supply introduces an appreciable amount o uncertainty in the demand-supply balance. However, unlike conventional energy sources, these renewable Sources are dependent on energy (through sunlight, wind, etc.) whose availability is intermittent. As energy production rom renewable sources has gone up, the share o wind energy is highest at around 5.6% o the total energy production among renewable sources (excluding large hydropower). This enorces the transition o the power grid rom conventional to the renewable grid and thus leads to dierent instabilities. Presently, in the global scenario, renewable-based generation is the utmost priority, due to energy security and environment concerns. Prospect o widespread access o energy to areas ar rom conventional sources o energy. Sustained energy security due to reduced dependence on depleting uel reserves. The thrust or renewable energy sources is due to the ollowing reasons: Reduction o carbon emissions rom the energy systems. Rising renewable energy partake in the electrical grid not only address energy security issues but can also take a step or environmental conservation. INTRODUCTION Increasing pollution levels and depletion o ossil uel reserves have resulted in intense eorts to get rid o the dependence o the industrial economy on ossil uels. The perormance o this index with dierent load models has also been tested to ind the suitable location o DFIG under-voltage stability point o view. The perormance o this index is tested in New England (NE) 39-bus system by considering all the dynamic controls o the synchronous generators and DFIG with dierent loading conditions. The time-domain simulated results show that the SQLVIDI index has a good capability to sense the impending voltage instability in the presence o a renewable integrated grid.
The present work is the augmented version o preclusive voltage instability detection index (SQLVIDI), in the companionship o the doubly-ed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion system (WECS). 20# Abstract: Real-time voltage instability detection in the renewable integrated grid is proposed in this work.
